The MAX6725AKALTD3+T is an ultra-low-voltage microprocessor supervisory circuit designed by Analog Devices. It is capable of monitoring two or three system power supply voltages, asserting a system reset if any monitored supply falls below its factory-trimmed or adjustable threshold. The device maintains reset for a minimum timeout period after all supplies rise above their thresholds.
This supervisory circuit features VCC1 monitoring from 1.8V to 5.0V and VCC2 monitoring from 0.9V to 3.3V. An externally adjustable RSTIN input option allows monitoring of a third supply voltage down to 0.62V. Reset threshold voltages for VCC1 range from 1.58V to 4.63V, and for VCC2 from 0.79V to 3.08V. The device is guaranteed to maintain correct reset output logic when VCC1 or VCC2 remains greater than 0.8V.
Available in a compact SOT-23-8 package, the MAX6725AKALTD3+T operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. It offers various reset output logic options, including push-pull or open-drain, along with watchdog timer and manual-reset input options. The typical supply current is a low 14μA at 3.6V, making it suitable for portable and battery-operated equipment.
Applications for this supervisory circuit include multivoltage systems, telecom/networking equipment, computers/servers, portable/battery-operated equipment, industrial equipment, printers/fax machines, and set-top boxes.
