The Analog Devices MAX6662MSA+ is a 12-bit plus sign temperature sensor designed for accurate temperature monitoring. It integrates an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to convert die temperature into digital values, stored as a 13-bit word for a resolution of 0.0625°C. The temperature data is accessible via a 3-wire SPI-compatible serial interface.
This sensor offers an extended operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and operates from a supply voltage of 3V to 5.5V. It features two programmable temperature fault outputs, ALERT and OT, for overtemperature warning and critical function control, respectively. A shutdown mode is available to minimize power consumption when not actively measuring.
The MAX6662MSA+ is housed in an 8-pin SOIC package and is designed for surface mount applications. Its accuracy is rated at ±1°C maximum within the +30°C to +50°C range, with wider tolerances at other temperatures. Typical applications include HVAC systems, refrigeration, and test equipment.
