The MAX660CSA+T is a CMOS monolithic charge pump voltage inverter designed by Analog Devices. It efficiently converts input voltages from +1.5V to +5.5V into corresponding negative output voltages ranging from -1.5V to -5.5V. This device utilizes only two external capacitors, eliminating the need for inductors found in traditional switching regulators, thereby reducing size, cost, and EMI.
With a typical operating current of only 120µA and high conversion efficiency exceeding 90% over much of its load range, the MAX660CSA+T is well-suited for battery-powered and board-level voltage conversion tasks. It can also be configured to double the input supply voltage. The device features selectable oscillator frequencies of 10kHz or 80kHz to optimize capacitor size and quiescent current. Its output impedance is typically 6.5Ω and guaranteed to be less than 15Ω with 10µF external capacitors.
Available in an 8-SOIC package, the MAX660CSA+T is designed for surface mount applications. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C.
