The MAX6315US31D2-T is a low-power CMOS microprocessor supervisory circuit designed by Analog Devices Inc. (formerly Maxim Integrated) to monitor power supplies in microprocessor and digital systems. It provides reliable system operation with minimal power consumption.
This device asserts a reset signal when the VCC supply voltage falls below a preset threshold of 3.08V or when manual reset is asserted. The reset remains active for an internally programmed interval of 20ms after VCC rises above the threshold or manual reset is deasserted. The open-drain RESET output can be pulled up to a voltage higher than VCC.
The MAX6315US31D2-T is available in a compact 4-pin SOT-143 surface-mount package. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C (TA).
Key features include a precision, factory-set VCC reset threshold, a debounced manual reset input, and immunity to short VCC transients. This supervisory circuit is suitable for critical µP and µC power monitoring in portable and battery-powered equipment, computers, controllers, and intelligent instruments.
