The MAX6314US25D1-T is a low-power CMOS microprocessor supervisory circuit designed by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated to monitor power supplies in microprocessor and digital systems. This device asserts a reset signal when the VCC supply voltage falls below a preset threshold or when manual reset is asserted. The reset remains active for an internally programmed interval after VCC rises above the threshold or manual reset is deasserted.
Key electrical specifications include a factory-trimmed reset threshold voltage of 2.5V with ±1.8% accuracy at +25°C and ±2.5% over temperature. It offers a minimum reset timeout period of 1ms and consumes only 5µA of supply current. The RESET output is bidirectional, simplifying interface to microprocessors with similar reset inputs, such as the 68HC11.
This supervisory circuit is housed in a compact SOT-143-4 package, suitable for surface mount applications. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The MAX6314 series provides excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments, making it ideal for critical µP and µC power monitoring in portable and battery-powered equipment, computers, controllers, and intelligent instruments.
