The MAX5721EUA+T from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) is a dual 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for low-power applications. It operates from a wide supply voltage range of +2.7V to +5.5V, consuming only 112µA at +3.6V.
This DAC features buffered voltage outputs with rail-to-rail swing and a fast 20MHz, 3-wire SPI, QSPI, and MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface. It offers guaranteed 10-bit monotonicity and a settling time of 10µs. The device includes an on-chip power-on reset (POR) circuit that sets the DAC outputs to zero for safe power-up.
Packaged in a compact 8-pin µMAX package, the MAX5721EUA+T is suitable for space-constrained designs. It operates over an automotive temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Applications include automatic tuning, gain and offset adjustment, power amplifier control, and battery-powered instruments.
