MAX547ACMH Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX547ACMH is an octal, 13-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. It integrates eight 13-bit voltage-output DACs, each with on-chip precision output amplifiers. The device operates from a ±5V supply and can achieve bipolar output voltages with up to ±4.5V voltage swing without external components.

The MAX547ACMH features a double-buffered interface with a 13-bit parallel data bus. Each DAC has an input latch and a DAC latch. Data is loaded to the input latch via a single write instruction, and asynchronous load inputs transfer data from the input latch to the DAC latch, controlling pairs of DACs. An asynchronous clear input resets all DAC outputs to analog ground. The device has four separate reference inputs, each connected to two DACs, allowing for different full-scale output voltages for each DAC pair.

With a settling time of 5µs (typical) to ±1/2 LSB, the MAX547ACMH is suitable for applications requiring precise voltage control. It is available in a 44-MQFP package and is designed for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C.

Applications for the MAX547ACMH include automatic test equipment, minimum component-count analog systems, digital offset/gain adjustment, arbitrary function generators, industrial process controls, and avionics equipment.
