MAX5477EUD+ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX5477EUD+ from Analog Devices is a nonvolatile, dual, linear-taper digital potentiometer designed to replace mechanical potentiometers. It features 256 tap points and a 2-wire digital interface compatible with I2C communication at up to 400kbps.

This device offers a nominal resistance of 10kΩ with a temperature coefficient of 70ppm/°C end-to-end and 10ppm/°C ratiometric. It operates over a single supply voltage range of +2.7V to +5.25V and consumes a maximum static supply current of 1µA. The internal nonvolatile EEPROM stores the wiper position, allowing for power-on recall, and includes an EEPROM write-protect feature.

Available in a 14-pin TSSOP package, the MAX5477EUD+ is suitable for applications requiring precise control and low drift, such as programmable-gain amplifiers, volume control, and LCD contrast adjustment. It operates within an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
