The MAX532ACPE from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) is a complete, dual, 12-bit multiplying digital-to-analog converter (MDAC) featuring integrated output amplifiers. This device eliminates the need for external user trims to achieve full specified performance. Its 3-wire serial interface minimizes package pins and board space, offering compatibility with SPI, QSPI, and Microwire standards. A serial data output (DOUT) allows for cascading multiple MAX532 devices.
Key electrical specifications include a 12-bit resolution, a fast 2.5µs settling time to ±1/2 LSB, and ±0.5 LSB maximum integral nonlinearity. The device operates from ±12V to ±15V supplies and provides a buffered voltage output. The MAX532ACPE is designed for applications such as automatic test equipment, arbitrary waveform generators, programmable-gain amplifiers, and motion control systems.
Packaged in a 16-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package), the MAX532ACPE is suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
