The MAX530BCNG is a low-power, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a buffered voltage output. It utilizes single +5V or dual ±5V supplies and includes an on-chip voltage reference. Operating at just 250µA from a single +5V supply, it is well-suited for portable and battery-powered devices.
This DAC offers 12-bit resolution achieved through laser trimming. Internal gain-setting resistors allow for output voltage ranges of 0V to +2.048V, 0V to +4.096V, or ±2.048V. It supports 4-quadrant multiplication without external components. The parallel logic inputs are double-buffered and compatible with 4-bit, 8-bit, and 16-bit microprocessors.
Key features include an internal 2.048V voltage reference, low power consumption with 40µA shutdown mode, and a space-saving SSOP package. It boasts a relative accuracy of ±1/2 LSB max over temperature and is guaranteed monotonic. The device also includes a power-on reset function.
