The MAX525BCAP is a low-power, quad, 12-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a serial interface, manufactured by Maxim Integrated.
This component integrates four 12-bit DACs and four precision output amplifiers within a compact 20-pin package. It supports a +5V single-supply operation and boasts low power consumption, drawing only 0.85mA during normal operation and 10µA in shutdown mode. The serial interface is compatible with SPI/QSPI and MICROWIRE standards, allowing for independent or simultaneous updates of the DAC registers.
Key features include a power-on reset that clears all registers and DACs to zero, and the capability to recall the last state prior to shutdown. All logic inputs are TTL/CMOS-logic compatible. The MAX525BCAP is suitable for applications such as industrial process controls, automatic test equipment, digital offset and gain adjustment, motion control, and microprocessor-controlled systems.
The device is available in a 20-pin SSOP package, designed for surface mount applications.
