The Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX5120BEEE is a low-power, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for voltage output applications. It operates on a single +5V supply and includes an internal precision bandgap reference of +2.5V, capable of a +4.095V full-scale output range.
The device features an SPI, QSPI, and MICROWIRE-compatible 3-wire serial interface, making it suitable for cascading multiple devices. It offers a power-up reset feature for user-selectable initial output states and minimizes output voltage glitches. The buffered output can drive 5kΩ ||100pF loads.
Applications include industrial process controls, automatic test equipment (ATE), digital offset and gain adjustment, motion control, and microcontroller-controlled systems. The MAX5120BEEE is available in a space-saving 16-pin QSOP package and is specified for the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
