MAX5105EEP Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX5105EEP is a nonvolatile, quad, 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for single-supply operation from +2.7V to +5.5V. An internal EEPROM stores the DAC states, ensuring that DAC outputs and operating states are automatically initialized during power-up, even after power is removed. This device features precision internal buffers that swing rail-to-rail, and its reference input range includes both ground and the positive rail.

The MAX5105EEP supports a software-controlled 10µA shutdown mode and a mute state that drives DAC outputs to their respective REFL voltages. It includes an asynchronous MUTE input and a RDY/BSY output to indicate the status of the nonvolatile memory. The DACs utilize an SPI-compatible serial interface for communication.

This component is available in a 20-pin QSOP package and is suitable for applications such as digital gain and offset adjustments, programmable attenuators, portable instruments, and power-amp bias control. It operates within a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
