MAX5040EUB+T

The MAX5040EUB+T is a specialized power management IC designed for intelligent control of power systems requiring two tracking supply voltages. It is suitable for applications like PowerPC, DSP, and ASIC systems that need a lower CORE voltage supply and a higher I/O voltage supply.

This controller manages the output voltage of CORE and I/O supplies during power-up, power-down, and brownout conditions, ensuring they rise or fall at the same rate to limit voltage differences and prevent processor stress. It also detects short circuits on VCORE and VI/O, shutting down both supplies if either fails. The MAX5040 variant includes a power-OK (POK) signal to indicate when CORE, I/O, and VCC supplies are above specified levels.

Key electrical specifications include an operating supply voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and a typical supply current of 1.3mA. The CORE voltage can range from 0.8V to 3V, while the I/O voltage ranges from VCORE to 4V. The device operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
