The MAX4929EETP+ is a 2:1 low-frequency translating switch ideal for HDMI/DVI switching applications. It features a voltage clamp function to protect low-voltage systems at the output and operates with a single 5V supply or dual or triple supplies.
This device provides clamping and voltage translation without additional components. All external inputs/outputs are electrostatic-discharge (ESD)-protected to ±6kV Human Body Model (HBM). The MAX4929E is available in a 20-pin TQFN package and is specified for the extended -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range.
Key features include low 20pF typical capacitance, protection for EDID EPROM or MCU from excess voltage, and a hot-plug detect signal that translates MCU voltage to TTL levels. Two MAX4929E devices can be used to form a 4:1 switch without added active components.
Applications include HD Television Receivers, HD Monitors, and High-Resolution Computer Monitors. The device is available in lead-free, 20-pin TQFN or 20-pin QSOP packages.
