The MAX4885AEETI+ is a high-bandwidth 2:1 multiplexer designed for VGA signals. It integrates analog switches, level-translating buffers, and FET switches to provide a complete solution for VGA signal routing. The device features three high-frequency SPDT switches for RGB signals, operating at approximately 900MHz typical bandwidth. It also includes low-frequency clamping switches for DDC signals and level-translating buffers for H_ and V_ signals, supporting both low-voltage controllers and standard 5V-TTL-compatible monitors.
Key electrical characteristics include a low typical on-resistance of 5 Ohms for RGB signals and a low typical on-capacitance of 5.5 pF. The device offers independent, selectable logic inputs for switching control. All seven output terminals are protected with high ESD protection up to ±15kV Human Body Model (HBM), while other pins are protected to ±2kV HBM.
