The MAX4820EUP+T is an 8-channel relay driver IC manufactured by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. This device is designed to drive +3.3V and +5V non-latching or dual-coil-latching relays, offering built-in kickback protection.
Each of the 8 independent open-drain outputs is guaranteed to sink a minimum of 70mA load current and features a 2 Ohm on-resistance. The device operates with a load voltage range of 2.3V to 5.5V. It includes separate SET and RESET functions for simultaneous control of all outputs.
The MAX4820EUP+T utilizes an SPI-compatible serial interface for input data shifting and output latching. It consumes less than 50µA quiescent current and has 1µA output off-leakage current. The device is housed in a space-saving 20-pin TSSOP-EP package and is suitable for surface mounting.
