The MAX4820ETP+T is an 8-channel relay driver IC from Analog Devices, suitable for applications requiring the control of +3.3V and +5V relays. It offers built-in inductive kickback protection, ensuring system reliability.
Each of the 8 independent open-drain outputs is guaranteed to sink a minimum of 70mA of load current and features a typical 2 Ohm on-resistance. The device operates over a voltage range of 2.3V to 5.5V and consumes a low quiescent current of less than 50µA, with 1µA output off-leakage current.
Control is managed via an SPI-compatible serial interface, allowing for independent control of each output. The device also includes separate SET and RESET functions for simultaneous control of all outputs. Its digital inputs feature built-in hysteresis, accommodating slow-rising and falling signals.
