The MAX4820ETP is an 8-channel relay driver designed by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. This component offers built-in inductive kickback protection, making it suitable for driving +3.3V and +5V non-latching or dual-coil-latching relays. Each of its 8 independent open-drain outputs is guaranteed to sink a minimum of 70mA load current and features a 2Ω on-resistance.
The device consumes a low quiescent current of less than 50µA (max) and exhibits 1µA output off-leakage current. It includes separate SET and RESET functions for simultaneous control of all outputs. Digital inputs have built-in hysteresis (Schmidt trigger) for reliable operation with slow-changing signals.
The MAX4820ETP is available in a space-saving 20-pin Thin QFN package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its features make it useful in applications such as Central Office, ATE, DSL/ADSL Line Cards, Industrial Equipment, and E1/T1 Redundancy.
This relay driver is designed for efficiency and reliability in various industrial and telecommunications equipment.
