The MAX4536ESE is a quad, low-voltage, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switch designed for various applications including battery-operated equipment, low-voltage data acquisition, and audio signal routing. It operates from a single +2V to +12V supply or dual ±2V to ±6V supplies.
Key electrical characteristics include an on-resistance of 100 Ohms with dual ±5V supplies and 200 Ohms with a single +4.5V supply. The switch offers matched on-resistance between channels to within 4 Ohms and maintains flatness over the signal range. Off-leakage current is minimal, at only 1nA at +25°C and 10nA at +85°C. Digital inputs are TTL/CMOS-compatible with logic thresholds between 0.8V and 2.4V.
This device handles rail-to-rail analog signals and features fast switching times with tON of 100ns and tOFF of 50ns at ±4.5V. It consumes less than 1µW of power and includes over 2kV ESD protection. The MAX4536ESE is supplied in a 16-SOIC package suitable for surface mounting.
Pin compatible with the industry-standard 74HC4316, the MAX4536 features four separately controlled SPST switches with a common enable pin. The MAX4536 variant specifically has four normally open (NO) switches.
