The MAX44009EDT+ is an ambient light sensor designed for portable applications, offering an I2C digital output. It features an ultra-wide dynamic range from 0.045 lux to 188,000 lux, making it suitable for various lighting conditions, including low-light environments.
With an operating current of less than 1µA, this sensor is highly power-efficient. The on-chip photodiode's spectral response is optimized to mimic human eye perception and includes IR and UV blocking. An adaptive gain block automatically selects the correct lux range for optimal performance.
