This IC automatically provides signal compensation, extending the usable cable distance up to 50 meters depending on cable gauge (e.g., 50m for 24 AWG STP, 36m for 28 AWG STP, 30m for 30 AWG STP).

 

It features four CML-differential inputs and outputs, including three data channels and one clock channel, with a loss-of-signal (LOS) output. The device supports DTV resolutions from 480i to 1080p and computer resolutions from VGA to UXGA. It offers fully automatic equalization up to 40dB at 825MHz (1.65Gbps) without requiring system control. The equalizer can also be set to manual control for specific in-cable applications.

 

The MAX3815CCM+TD operates from a 3.3V power supply with a typical power dissipation of 0.6W. It is housed in a 7mm x 7mm, 48-pin TQFP-EP package, suitable for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is 0°C to +70°C.
