MAX365ESE Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX365ESE is a precision, quad, single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch from Analog Devices, featuring four normally open (NO) switches. It offers low channel on-resistance, guaranteed to match within 2 Ohms between channels and remain flat over the analog signal range (9 Ohms max). The device also provides low leakage and fast switching times (turn-on < 250ns, turn-off < 120ns).

Fabricated using a 44V silicon-gate process, the MAX365ESE guarantees extremely low charge injection (10pC) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection greater than 2000V. The 44V maximum breakdown voltage allows for rail-to-rail analog signal handling. It operates with a single positive supply (+10V to +30V) or split supplies (±4.5V to ±20V) while maintaining CMOS-logic input compatibility.

This analog switch is suitable for applications such as sample-and-hold circuits, communication systems, guidance and control systems, battery-operated systems, heads-up displays, PBX/PABX, test equipment, and military radios. It is supplied in a 16-SOIC package and is designed for surface mount applications.

Key electrical characteristics include a typical on-resistance of less than 45 Ohms and a maximum on-resistance of 85 Ohms. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
