MAX339ESE Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX339ESE is a monolithic CMOS analog multiplexer designed for connecting one of four inputs to a common output. This dual 4-channel device functions as either a multiplexer or demultiplexer. It features a maximum on-resistance of 400 Ohms and conducts current equally well in both directions.

Key electrical characteristics include extremely low off-leakage current (less than 20pA at +25°C) and on-channel leakage (less than 50pA at +25°C). The device guarantees low charge injection of 1.5pC typical and provides electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection greater than 2000V.

Operating from a single +4.5V to +30V supply or dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V, the MAX339ESE is pin-compatible with industry-standard DG508A and DG509A devices. All control inputs are TTL compatible over the specified temperature range.

This multiplexer is suitable for applications such as data-acquisition systems, test equipment, military radios, guidance and control systems, sample-and-hold circuits, heads-up displays, and communications systems. It is supplied in a 16-SOIC package for surface mounting.
