MAX336EAI Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX336EAI is a monolithic CMOS analog multiplexer designed for precision data acquisition and signal routing. It features 16 input channels that can be connected to a common output, controlled by a 4-bit binary address. This device can function as either a multiplexer or a demultiplexer.

Key electrical specifications include a maximum on-resistance of 400 Ohms, low off-leakage current of less than 20pA at +25°C, and on-channel leakage of less than 50pA at +25°C. It boasts a charge injection of 3.5pC (typical) and a transition time of 500ns (maximum). The multiplexer operates from a single supply of +4.5V to +30V or dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V. Control inputs are TTL/CMOS compatible.

Designed as a pin-compatible upgrade for industry-standard DG506 and DG507 devices, the MAX336EAI offers improved performance with guaranteed low charge injection and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection greater than 2000V. It supports bidirectional, rail-to-rail signal handling.

The MAX336EAI is available in a 28-SSOP surface mount package, operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
