MAX336CAI Description

The MAX336CAI is a monolithic CMOS analog multiplexer designed to connect one of 16 inputs to a common output via a 4-bit binary address. It can function as either a multiplexer or a demultiplexer. Key electrical characteristics include a maximum on-resistance of 400 Ohms and low off-leakage current of less than 20pA at +25°C. The device offers guaranteed low charge injection of 3.5pC and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection greater than 2000V.

 

This multiplexer operates from a single +4.5V to +30V supply or dual ±4.5V to ±20V supplies. Control inputs are TTL compatible over the specified temperature range. The MAX336CAI is pin-compatible with industry-standard DG506 and DG507 devices, making it a suitable upgrade.

 

Applications include precision data acquisition, precision signal routing, and test equipment. The device is supplied in a 28-SSOP surface mount package. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C (TA).
