Operating from a +3.0V to +5.5V supply, the MAX3243ECAI utilizes a dual charge pump and requires only four small 0.1µF capacitors for operation from a +3.3V supply. It is guaranteed to run at data rates of 250kbps while maintaining RS-232 output levels. The MAX3243ECAI is ideal for notebook, subnotebook, and palmtop computers, cellular phones, battery-powered equipment, and handheld devices.

 

This device is available in space-saving TQFN, SSOP, and TSSOP packages, making it suitable for designs with limited board space. The transceiver includes 3 drivers and 5 receivers, making it a complete serial port solution for various portable and embedded systems.
