MAX31911AUI+

The MAX31911AUI+ by Analog Devices is an industrial interface serializer designed for applications in industrial, process, and building automation. It conditions and serializes high-voltage digital sensor outputs, such as 24V signals, into 5V CMOS-compatible signals suitable for microcontrollers. This device integrates features like current limiting, selectable low-pass filters for debouncing, and channel serialization via an SPI-compatible port.

The serializer offers a wide operating field supply range of 7V to 36V and can be powered from a 5V logic-side supply. Its integrated current limiters are adjustable from 0.5mA to 6mA, reducing power consumption from the field voltage supply. Selectable on-chip filters allow for flexible debouncing of sensor outputs, ranging from 0 to 3ms. The device also includes an on-chip 5V regulator for powering external components and an overtemperature indicator.

Designed for robustness in industrial environments, the MAX31911AUI+ generates a multibit CRC code for error detection. It accepts industry-standard input types, configurable for IEC 61131-2 Types 1, 2, and 3. The component is housed in a 28-TSSOP package with an exposed pad and is designed for surface mounting.
