The MAX3162EAI incorporates a proprietary low-dropout transmitter output stage and an on-board dual charge pump, eliminating the need for a bipolar ±12V supply and saving board space.

 

Designed for robustness, the MAX3162EAI includes integrated protection for transmitters and receivers against wiring faults, true fail-safe receiver functionality, and short-circuit protection over the entire common-mode voltage range. It also features thermal protection from excessive power dissipation. The device is available in a compact 28-SSOP package and operates across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
