MAX3079EESD+

The MAX3079EESD+ is a 3.3V, ±15kV ESD-protected RS-485 transceiver from Analog Devices, designed for robust performance in industrial and telecom applications. It features one driver and one receiver, with true fail-safe circuitry that guarantees a logic-high receiver output when inputs are open or shorted.

This transceiver supports full-duplex communication and offers a data rate of up to 16Mbps. It operates over a supply voltage range of 3V to 3.6V and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The device includes enhanced slew-rate limiting to facilitate error-free data transmission and a hot-swap input structure on DE and RE pins to prevent false transitions during power-up or hot insertion.

With a 1/8-unit load receiver input impedance, the MAX3079EESD+ allows for up to 256 transceivers on the bus, making it suitable for large communication networks. It is available in a 14-SOIC package and is designed for surface mount applications.
