MAX2991ECM+T

The MAX2991ECM+T is a state-of-the-art integrated circuit from Analog Devices, serving as a power-line communication analog front-end (AFE) transceiver. It is optimized for OFDM modulated signal transmission over power lines, operating within the 10kHz to 490kHz band. Programmable filters allow compliance with CENELEC, FCC, and ARIB standards.

The device features both transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) paths. The Tx path includes a digital IIR filter, DAC, low-pass filter, and preline driver. The Rx path incorporates low-pass and high-pass filters, a two-stage automatic gain control (AGC) with up to 60dB dynamic range, and a 10-bit ADC. An integrated offset cancellation loop minimizes DC offset.

This transceiver is specified for an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is housed in a 48-pin LQFP package. It requires a single 3.3V power supply and interfaces via SPI Serial. The typical supply current is 70mA in half-duplex mode.
