The MAX2511EEI is a complete, highly integrated IF transceiver designed for applications employing a dual-conversion architecture. It can also function as a single-conversion transceiver for RF operating frequencies ranging from 200MHz to 440MHz.
In a typical application, the receiver downconverts a high IF/RF to a 10.7MHz low IF using an image-reject mixer with 34dB of image suppression. It includes an on-chip limiting amplifier with a 90dB monotonic RSSI function and a robust limiter output driver. The transmit path features an image-reject mixer and a 40dB variable-gain amplifier, maintaining IM3 levels below -35dBc with a maximum output power of 2dBm.
The MAX2511EEI operates from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply and includes flexible power-management control, reducing supply current to 0.1µA in shutdown mode. It is available in a 28-QSOP package and is suitable for surface mount.
