The MAX208 is a 5V multichannel RS-232 line driver and receiver IC manufactured by Maxim Integrated. It is designed to provide the electrical interface between an asynchronous communication controller and a serial port connector. The device features four line drivers and four line receivers, along with a dual charge-pump circuit for operation from a single 5V supply.
