MAX199BCNI

The MAX199BCNI is a 12-bit data acquisition system (DAS) from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated, designed for single +5V supply operation. It offers eight independently software-programmable analog input channels with selectable ranges including ±VREF, ±VREF/2, 0V to VREF, and 0V to VREF/2. This flexibility allows interfacing with various sensors to a single +5V system.

Key features include a 12-bit resolution with 1/2 LSB linearity, a 100kSPS throughput rate, and a 6µs conversion time. The system boasts a fault-protected input multiplexer capable of handling up to ±16.5V, ensuring that a fault on one channel does not affect others. It also includes a 5MHz bandwidth track/hold circuit and supports internal or external clock and acquisition control.

The MAX199BCNI is suitable for applications such as industrial control systems, robotics, data-acquisition systems, automatic testing systems, medical instruments, and telecommunications. It utilizes a standard microprocessor interface with a three-state data I/O interface configured for 8-bit data buses, compatible with most popular microprocessors. All logic inputs and outputs are TTL/CMOS compatible.
