MAX199ACAI

The MAX199ACAI is a versatile 12-bit data acquisition system (DAS) from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated, operating from a single +5V supply. It offers eight independently software-programmable input channels with selectable ranges including ±VREF, ±VREF/2, 0V to VREF, and 0V to VREF/2. This flexibility allows interfacing with various sensors and provides an effective dynamic range of 14 bits.

Key electrical specifications include a 100kSPS throughput rate, a 6µs conversion time, and a 5MHz bandwidth track/hold. The device supports both internal and external clock sources, as well as internal or external acquisition control. It features a fault-protected input multiplexer capable of handling up to ±16.5V, ensuring conversion integrity even with faulty channels.

The MAX199ACAI utilizes a standard microprocessor interface with a three-state data I/O configured for 8-bit data buses, compatible with most popular microprocessors. The reference buffer remains active in STBYPD mode, minimizing start-up delays.
