The MAX1954AEUB+T is a cost-effective, synchronous current-mode PWM buck controller designed by Analog Devices. It operates within an input voltage range of 3.0V to 13.2V, independent of the IC supply, and allows for output voltages adjustable down to 0.8V with ±1% accuracy.
This controller features a fixed 300kHz switching frequency and can deliver up to 25A of output current with efficiencies reaching 95%. It incorporates foldback current limiting for enhanced protection during output overloads or short circuits. The device also includes an input undervoltage lockout and internal digital soft-start to manage inrush current.
Available in a compact 10-pin µMAX package, the MAX1954AEUB+T is suitable for applications where space and cost are critical. Its design is optimized for all-N-channel MOSFETs, eliminating the need for a current-sense resistor and reducing overall system cost.
Key applications include printers, scanners, graphic cards, video cards, PCs, servers, microprocessor cores, low-voltage distributed power systems, and telecom/network equipment.
