The analog inputs are software configurable for unipolar/bipolar and single-ended/differential operation. The 4-wire serial interface is compatible with SPI, QSPI, and MICROWIRE devices, and includes a serial strobe output for direct connection to TMS320 digital signal processors.

 

The MAX186ACAP features an internal 4.096V reference and a reference-buffer amplifier. It provides two software-selectable power-down modes, allowing supply current to be reduced to under 10µA at reduced sampling rates by shutting down between conversions.

 

Available in a 20-SSOP package, the MAX186ACAP is suitable for applications such as portable data logging, data acquisition, high-accuracy process control, automatic testing, robotics, battery-powered instruments, and medical instruments.
