The MAX1819EBL25-T is a low-dropout linear regulator designed for portable battery-operated equipment. It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V supply and delivers a guaranteed 500mA load current with a low dropout voltage of 90mV at 500mA.
This regulator features high-accuracy ±1% initial output voltage. The output voltage can be preset at various values including 1.5V, 1.8V, 2V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V, or it can be adjusted from 1.25V to 5V using an external resistive divider. The device includes an active-low, open-drain reset output (Power-OK) that indicates when the output is out of regulation, a 0.1µA shutdown current, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown protection.
The MAX1819EBL25-T is available in a miniature 6-pin UCSP package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its low quiescent current of 125µA makes it ideal for power-sensitive applications such as PDAs, cellular phones, and notebook computers.
