The MAX1779EUE+T is a low-power, triple-output DC-DC converter from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated, specifically designed for active-matrix and passive-matrix TFT LCD displays. It integrates one high-power DC-DC converter and two low-power charge pumps to generate the required regulated voltages from a +2.7V to +5.5V input supply.
The primary boost converter can generate a main output voltage (VMAIN) up to +13V with ±1% accuracy, achieving up to 91% efficiency. This is supported by a 250kHz current-mode PWM architecture that allows for small inductors and ceramic capacitors, enabling fast transient response.
