MAX1776EUA+T

The MAX1776EUA+T is a high-efficiency step-down (buck) converter designed by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. It operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 24V and can deliver up to 600mA of output current. The output voltage is adjustable from 1.25V to VIN, or can be fixed at 5V.

This device features an internal 0.4Ω P-channel MOSFET, enabling operation at 100% duty cycle to minimize dropout voltage. It boasts a low quiescent current of 15µA, which helps conserve battery life, and a shutdown current of only 3µA. The high switching frequency of up to 200kHz allows for the use of small surface-mount inductors and capacitors, reducing overall solution size.

The MAX1776EUA+T is available in a compact 8-pin µMAX package, which occupies half the space of an 8-pin SO package. This makes it suitable for space-constrained applications such as notebook computers, distributed power systems, keep-alive supplies, and hand-held devices.
