The MAX1759EUB+ is a versatile buck/boost regulating charge pump from Analog Devices, designed for small hand-held portable equipment. It supports a wide input voltage range of +1.6V to +5.5V and can generate a fixed 3.3V or an adjustable output voltage between 2.5V and 5.5V.
This device features a high 1.5MHz operating frequency while maintaining a low 50µA quiescent supply current. It is capable of delivering a guaranteed 100mA minimum output current from a +2.5V input. The MAX1759EUB+ includes an open-drain power-OK (POK) output to signal when the output voltage is in regulation. It also incorporates short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown for enhanced reliability.
Designed for compact applications, the MAX1759EUB+ is available in a space-saving 10-pin µMAX package. Its unique charge-pump architecture allows the input voltage to be higher or lower than the regulated output voltage, making it suitable for various battery-powered applications, including Li+ battery-powered devices, miniature equipment, backup battery boost converters, and translators.
