The MAX17543ATP+T is a high-efficiency, high-voltage synchronous step-down DC-DC converter designed for industrial power supplies, distributed supply regulation, and general-purpose point-of-load applications. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 42V and can deliver an output current of up to 2.5A.
This converter features an adjustable output voltage from 0.9V up to 0.9 times the input voltage. It utilizes peak current-mode control and can operate in PWM, PFM, or DCM modes, enabling enhanced light-load efficiency. The device boasts a peak efficiency greater than 90% and a low shutdown current of 2.8µA.
Designed for reliable operation in adverse industrial environments, the MAX17543ATP+T includes features such as peak current-limit protection, built-in output voltage monitoring with RESET, programmable EN/UVLO threshold, monotonic startup into prebiased loads, and overtemperature protection. It operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The MAX17543ATP+T is available in a compact 20-pin (4mm x 4mm) TQFN package, suitable for surface mounting. Its synchronous operation eliminates the need for a Schottky diode, reducing external components and total cost. Internal compensation simplifies design for any output voltage, and all-ceramic capacitors can be used for a compact layout.
