The MAX1748EUE+T is a triple-output DC-DC converter IC from Analog Devices, specifically designed to provide regulated voltages for active-matrix TFT liquid-crystal displays (LCDs). It converts a +3.3V to +5V input supply into three independent output voltages.
The device features a primary 1MHz current-mode PWM boost regulator capable of generating a main output voltage (VMAIN) up to +13V with ±1% accuracy. This high-power output achieves up to 93% efficiency. Additionally, two low-power charge pumps independently regulate a positive output (VPOS) up to +40V and a negative output (VNEG) down to -40V.
Key features include internal supply sequencing, internal power MOSFETs, and internal soft-start for controlled power-up. The MAX1748EUE+T operates within a +2.7V to +5.5V input supply range and has a low shutdown current of 0.1µA and quiescent current of 0.6mA.
