The Analog Devices MAX17048G+T10 is a tiny, micropower current fuel gauge designed for single-cell lithium-ion batteries in portable equipment. It employs the sophisticated ModelGauge algorithm to continuously track the battery's relative state-of-charge (SOC) under varying charge and discharge conditions, eliminating the need for current-sense resistors and battery-learn cycles.
This IC offers precision voltage measurement with an accuracy of ±7.5mV/Cell and operates with an I2C interface for accessing SOC, voltage, and rate information. It features ultra-low quiescent current, consuming only 3µA in hibernate mode and 23µA in active mode, automatically entering and exiting hibernate mode to conserve power.
The MAX17048G+T10 is available in an 8-pin TDFN package with an exposed pad (2mm x 2mm). Its applications include smartphones, tablets, wearables, Bluetooth headsets, and other portable electronic devices requiring accurate battery monitoring.
