It combines a 5V step-down converter with a 2.5A output capability and a USB host charger adapter emulator. The device operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, with protection against load dump transients up to 42V. The integrated step-down DC-DC converter is optimized for high-frequency operation, offering programmable frequency selection from 220kHz to 2.2MHz to balance efficiency, noise, and board space.
The USB protection switches provide high ESD and short-circuit protection, adhering to USB 2.0 Battery Charging Specification BC1.2 and Chinese Telecommunication Industry Standard YD/T 1591-2009.
