MAX1684EEE

The MAX1684EEE is a pulse-width modulation (PWM) step-down switching regulator designed for applications requiring high efficiency and stable power conversion. It is capable of delivering a guaranteed 1A output current and operates within a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 14V, providing design flexibility.

This device features a preset output voltage of 3.3V, which can also be externally adjusted from 1.25V up to the input voltage. With a low on-resistance power switch and built-in synchronous rectifier, it achieves high efficiencies of up to 96%. The MAX1684 operates at a fixed switching frequency of 300kHz, offering excellent noise characteristics.

Available in a space-saving 16-QSOP package, the MAX1684EEE is suitable for surface mount applications. It includes features such as a 100% duty cycle for low-dropout applications and an auxiliary 3V/5mA output. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
