The MAX15301AA02+TCJK is a full-featured, highly efficient digital point-of-load (PoL) controller from Analog Devices, formerly Maxim Integrated. It utilizes Maxim's patented InTune™ automatically compensated, state-space control algorithm for fast loop transient response and reduced output capacitance compared to PID-based controllers.
Key features include a PMBus-compliant serial bus interface for monitoring and fault management, enabling communication with a supervisory controller. It supports advanced power management features, eliminating the need for separate sequencing and monitoring ICs. Basic DC-DC conversion can be configured via pin strapping for rapid development.
This controller operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 14V and supports an output voltage range from 0.5V to 5.25V. It is designed for efficiency with an internal BabyBuck™ regulator for self-bias and a high-efficiency MOSFET gate driver with adjustable nonoverlap timing and load-variable gate-drive voltage.
