The MAX152CPP is a high-speed, microprocessor-compatible, 8-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It utilizes a half-flash technique to achieve a fast 1.8µs conversion time, enabling a sampling rate of up to 400k samples per second (ksps).
This ADC operates with single +3V to +3.6V supplies or dual ±3V supplies and accepts both unipolar and bipolar inputs. It features an internal track/hold function and a full-power bandwidth of 300kHz. The device includes a power-down pin that reduces current consumption to a typical 1µA, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.
The MAX152CPP has a parallel data interface and its µP interface requires no external logic. The data outputs are latched and three-state buffered for direct connection to a microprocessor data bus. The ADC's input/reference arrangement allows for ratiometric operation.
Packaged in a 20-pin DIP, the MAX152CPP is designed for through-hole mounting. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
