The MAX14550EETB+T is a USB Hi-Speed analog switch with an integrated USB host charger identification circuit, designed by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. It supports USB Battery Charging Specification Revision 1.0 and resistor bias for Apple-compliant devices.
This component features a high-performance Hi-Speed USB switch with low 4pF typical on-capacitance and low 4Ω typical on-resistance. It includes two digital inputs for switching between pass-through and charger modes. The charger identification circuit supports shorted D+/D- detection and Apple-compliant devices. Enhanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection is provided on DP and DM inputs up to ±15kV HBM.
The MAX14550EETB+T operates over a supply range of +2.8V to +5.5V and consumes an ultra-low 7µA supply current. It is available in a compact 10-pin (3mm x 3mm) TDFN package and is specified for an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Applications include laptops, netbooks, and cell phones, where USB host port functionality and charger detection are critical.
