This transceiver supports data rates up to 20Mbps and includes slew-rate limiting to reduce EMI for data rates up to 500kbps.

 

The device operates from a supply voltage of 4.5V to 5.5V and is specified for an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It offers 1/8-unit load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers on the bus. The MAX13451EAUD+T provides ±30kV ESD protection using the Human Body Model and also includes ±15kV Air Gap Discharge and ±7kV Contact Discharge protection per IEC 61000-4-2.

 

Available in a 14-pin TSSOP package with an exposed pad, this transceiver is suitable for surface mount applications. It also features a logic supply input that allows interfacing with logic levels down to +1.8V, making it compatible with modern ASICs and FPGAs. The MAX13451E variant includes a fault alarm indication output and logic inversion for phase reversal.
